Round 1 - Weekly wrap
What a great start for our club - Round 1 belonged to Cripps Waratah with standout performances everywhere. The week started on a hot Wednesday night where our two 13/2 teams battled the conditions against each other, the result was a very close game with 13/2 Black winning by just 2 goals – I’m looking forward to seeing how these teams go next time they meet! Following that we had some exciting results in the Premier League comp where 21/2 finished a tight game with a draw and our Open girls had a good win. Thursday night saw another club clash in 3rd grade with a 1 goal win to 3rd Grade Black in a thriller. After finishing 2016 with our club on top of the Elise Archer Club Championship leaderboard, we were on fire in round one and took top points ahead of SENA. Congratulations to all players and coaches! Thanks so much to all the girls who filled in for other teams this week, it’s a pleasure to see so many willing to help out other teams in need. Our TNL teams both had fantastic wins on the road against Devon and are looking forward to showing us what they can do at STNA this Friday night against Arrows – please come along to support them.
